AudiWorld Interviews Audi of America Executive VP Johan de Nysschen (Part II)

Part two of the interview series. Here is an interesting excerpt: "Now let me tell you this: if 25% of the cars just roughly speaking that are purchased per year in the US were diesel powered – just by virtue of the fuel consumption benefits derived from diesel – we would save enough fuel to eliminate our oil imports from the whole of Saudi Arabia!"

Good Article Chewy!
The facts are stunning to have 25% of the new cars purchased be diesel and the American consumption of oil saved equals that of the sum of Saudi Arabia oil imported. Diesel lives up to the promise without altering the driving style as drastically as the current crop of hybrids. It is the wave not a stop gap.

Yes, diesel has a futre here. I expect Audi TDIs to come here sometime next year.

I was very impressed with de Nysschen's style *and* substance during this interview. He is the real deal and fantastic for AoA.
