Lexus to confuse Americans with new Design Feature

Lexus to confuse Americans with new Design Feature
What the hell is this? I know Lexus has been criticized in the past for bland styling....so they took a risk with the tail lights of the IS300 and invented the Alteza craze.... Well it looks like the upcoming Lexus M3 fighter (the V8-powered IS300) is going to start a new trend of stacked exhaust pipes.... I really hope this looks better with the camo removed, because this shot just looks silly.

looks like they are trying to put their own spin on the Porsche 911 Turbo tails, aren't they similar? Only much better looking. This just looks funny.

Or it could be a decoy to let you think they are going with a quad tail pipe. Really, what's the point?

My God, that's simply tacky. I think it doesn't look good on the Porsches, but this makes those Porsche exhausts look outright "macho".

Tailpipe design aside, I can hardly wait for a 400hp V8 in a small Lexus Sedan!! Wow! Absolute reliability, great looks and power! GO LEXUS !

I think you guys greatly underestimate Lexus's ability to deliver. Up until now they have focused on Luxury & Reliability and im sure most americans will agree with me that they Delivered on that. ( The americans voted with their wallets )
Now that they seem to be going after Sporty & Great Handling, why the doubting ??
I remember the Toyota Supra was the best handling car in its time for its class and even classes more expensive than it, so do you think that toyota has Layed- Off all those engineers or that Lexus Division would not have access to that expertise ?
Tailpipe design would probably change but i honestly think that if lexus decides to launch this vehicle it would at least match the Merc C class in terms of driver feedback and handling. The BMWs will be difficult to match

That is why I said jk. I was saying that even the most recent Lexuses are sort of boring to drive. I don't know if the IS500 will be different, it is supposed to be, but there is no guarantee judging on previous Lexuses.

THey will probably change this, just a bad camo. I believe that my lexus cars are really fun to drive, but ive never driven a bmw so nothing to compare to the so called "best". Im sure it will be great

Wonder if Lexus is trying to get more experimental with their designs. Usually they are very conservative.

I've driven 4 Lexus models (ES300, LX470,GS300 and LS430) and you guys are correct they're boring to drive and lack character, and honestly I don't think increasing horsepower alone will fix the problem. However, Lexus is always being critized for their boring styling and drive (and rightfully so), but I think we should be fair and at least give them credit for trying. Yes, I agree. It looks very ugly and tacky, but at least they're trying something different and who knows, one day they may get lucky. Sure beats shameless copying which is what they've been doing for years.

BMW DESIGNS ARE THE BEST: STRIKING, FUTURISTIC, FASHIONABLE, YOUNG MINDED, SPORTY!

You know, all you people who are complaining about BMW's recent design is just jealous of them! BMW is the no.1 luxury car brand in the world and the 3, 5, 7 sold the most cars in its market segment in 2005 worldwide, beating Merc and Audi BY FAR!

So this simply says it, BMW's design is the way the people want it, togather with reliable first class innovation, quality and character, it can be nothing but the choice of sensible and educated buyers! The new 3 Series design is a work of art, look at the sharp front and muscular side, what car in the world can match that??? It is something potent, first and striking. It stands out from the normal cars like Merc and Audi!

That's why BMW's 3 is World car of the year and top 3 for World car design of the year! If you want to moan, why not try the ugly CLS, look what Sh1t it looks like: ugly headlights with an overcurved shoulderline (looks like it has been crashed from front and rear), ugly rear lights, too! Shame, what a piece of TRASH! The other one is the new S class - headlights so dull and fogged, can't they ever come up with something orginal and exciting?

I suppose because they appeal to the almost dead old population, who still think that Merc is a respected brand! I don't even want to get to the snoek fish degin of the Audi grille and the crying taillights of the A4, the sales show! By the way, why did Merc copy the iDrive, bootlid and interior design of the 7 if it was so ugly to some antiBMW people? Bangle is King and he should stay! BMW is not BMW without his works of art! Too bad for those who do not like it, you must then close your eyes, but the majority of thsi world loves it and that's what matters. We cannot help it that you lack taste!

At least BMW was in the top 3 and the only luxury car brand there this year. Where was Mercedes? Did they not launch the A, B, R, CLS, SLK, S, new E this year? None of these rubbish cars from Mercedes made it to the top three of any awards! Neither did Audi's new cars! At least BMW won the World Car of the Year and was top three for World Car Design of the Year2006!

You like the CLS lights? BMW's at least has style and parking rings, somethin pleasantly differefnt! CLS's is down right ugly - that's its difference! The BMW 6 Series is the one to have!
