SPIED: BMW's US-Bound X1 Getting Some Updates
BMW has been playing the "here you go, oh wait, no you don't" game with the US and the X1 sport-utility vehicle for a little bit now.

First it was slated to debut on our shores, then it was pulled away and then execs told us that it would be on an indefinite hiatus. That was until, of course, we found out through other means that it WILL be on the market during the 2012 calendar year.

Thanks to our friends at Auto Motor Und Sport, we can now see that the X1 will be receiving a minor facelift with some changes to the front headlights, front valence and rear valence.

Maybe BMW is prepping it for its US debut?

Hopefully this USA-version X1 will arrive with the gasoline and diesel 2.0 liter engines. I know, it's just wishful thinking.

If this comes to the US with a diesel, it will likely replace my Tiguan. The Tiguan is perfect for me, except for not having the TDI here. VW is claiming a 2015 TDI Tiguan, but if BMW beats them, they are really going to lose this piece of their market.

Whole face needs a redesign not just restyled bumpers.
