Toyota has quite a tradition in building high-quality hybrid vehicles and it appears that this type of cars will be the key in reviving its U.S. sales. For those who don’t know, Toyota’s sales were hammered by the recalls but also by the Japan earthquake. Still, Toyota moved on and now it is ready to introduce two new Prius models

Well don't focus in to tightly, Toyota will probably want to refresh its Camry/Corolla/Tundra team as they are the companies bread and butter products.

The refreshed Camry should buy it at least 4 more years on top. Toyota has some work to do on the next Corolla and Tundra.

I drove the Camry hybrid at the LA Auto Show, and (admittedly biased) was blown away by its performance, quality feel, and ability to stay in frugal fuel saving driving modes.

I'm not so sure that diesel won't increase in popularity.Hybrid costs are still high and the cars still don't have the handling of non hybrid vehicles in the quest for the best economy. VW isbetting the table a bit on the Jetta and Passat diesel. It will be interesting to see in the next yr how it sales are. Personally a diesel is more appealing to me then a hybrid at the moment.
