Now that you've seen the pictures, let the Spies dial you in to the important changes coming on the 2008 refreshed Porsche 911 (997)...

1. Satellite radio will be an option (See antenna on rear)

2. The MOST bus network disappears and is replaced by an updated system.

3. Bluetooth is finally an option.

4. Horsepower is upped by close to 20HP.

5. Trim packages-Look for the cool Cayman-like aluminum exterior option to be available (see photo of Speed Yellow Cayman for reference).

6. Lower front bumpers will be changed and will house the lattice-like grills and foglamps like the Cayman.

Look for 2007 to be a short model year and the 2008's to be in dealers by late spring/early summer of 2007.

I guess we'll all be seeing 001's 911 on the trade block in about a year from now so he can grab a new '08. :)

The pic of the yellow Porsche -- which the story headline suggests is an updated 911 -- is really a Cayman. Look at the small lights near the front air intakes and the side air intakes as well.

I'm clearly not the only one on this site who knows this, so what am I missing?

Dude, the article says 'see photo of Cayman for reference.'

Anyway, I think this car is going to need to up its horsepower once more when the new M3 hits the streets and costs $30k less.

The reason the Cayman photo is there is because it has the aluminum package we were referring to...look below the mirrors and the front bumper.
