Now That The 2013 BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe Is On Its Way, WHO Will Be First To Answer? Infiniti OR Lexus? Both? Neither?
If you were away from your keyboard this past weekend, you would have missed out on all the 2013 BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe hoopla that went on Saturday.

BMW finally outed the vehicle and unveiled the product in its usual Saturday night move. For some reason 6:00 p.m. eastern time strikes a chord with the Bavarians.

That said, we had a showdown when it comes to who wins between the Audi A7, BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe and Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class. More importantly, we've got an even MORE intriguing question to ask:

Which of the Japanese luxury import brands will answer now? Are you putting your money on Infiniti or Lexus?

You have to give this a second to think it through. Infiniti is the more sporting of the two brands and if it could integrate some of the Essence Concept's design traits into a four-door sedan that would be quite sensual and appealing.

However, also keep in mind that Lexus continues to redefine itself and is willing to take risks like never before.

Hm, I disagree with two points.

Lexus is cultivating a sportier culture within the brand. Notice the presence of F-Sport and the LFA "halo car?"

Infiniti doesn't compete with the European brands? Tell that to American shoppers who turned to the G and M over its German rivals...

Why is it called a 4-door coupe -- doesn't look anything like the other 4-door coupes...it looks like a normal 4-door sedan....
