Cadillac Hopes To Crush The Germans With New Turbo Four Cylinder For ATS
General Motors Co. has designed a new turbocharged four-cylinder engine for Cadillac that it hopes will take the fight to the Germans.

The 2.0-liter Ecotec delivers 270 horsepower. That translates into 135 horses per liter, making it one of the world's most power-dense automobile engines.

By comparison, the 2.0-liter turbo offered in Audi's A4 puts out 105.5 horses per liter, while the Mercedes-Benz C250's 1.8-liter turbo generates 111.6.

Ya. I'm sure the Germans are real scared....Cadillac needs to worry about exterior design more than engines....The replacement for the DTS has the strangest looking wheelbase known to man

Not to mention Audi already has a 3yr+ old 2.0L Engine that produces 270+hp which is currently used in:
TTS
S3
GOLF R
SIROCCO R

If Audi felt there was a demand for it, they could easily install it into their Sedans.

Hopefully this engine is more efficient then that 3yr+ old engine while putting out similar numbers.

Keep spare engines in the parts dept. so when they crap out @60k they can replace them like they did with the northstar V8. We had about 25 in stock at all times.....
