20%?! Let's be reasonable here and consider a more suitable 200%. There is absolutely no reason why the US should import anything from China until they open their market and float the yuan.

Wow, what is your point? Because penny pinching Americans shop at Wal-Mart the rest of us are stupid? How incredibly insensitive are you! I myself don't like Wal-Mart because of the people that work and shop there, would rather pay a little more because of that plus Wal-Marts' business practices. So don't try to lump me in with the rest of those not fortunate enough to have more money.

I'll say the WTO idea is just bogus. Every country should make their own stuff and grow their own crop, no matter how expensive that will be. Human has done lots of damage to earth when switching TV, computer, and cell phone so often because they are cheap. Remember how expensive the computer is 30 years ago?

US's domestic market can support production here, without going abroad. The only people that really benefit from manufacturingare in 3rd world are those big companys and their upper management.
