Study Says Many Do, But Have You Ever Named Your Car?

From Rudolph to Rosebud to the Spirit of St. Louis, Americans like to nickname the things they travel around in, or on.

Think of the famous cross-country trains of yore, such as the Super Chief and the 20th Century Limited. Passenger planes as well as private ones used to get names, such as Pan Am's Clipper series.

Of course, ships and pleasures boats have feminine handles, and I'll bet even old-time conveyances such as stage coaches got nicknames based on their routes.

But how common is it for individuals to bestow a moniker on their automobiles? About half of us are doing it, according to a recent survey by NCP, which is a British parking-lot operator.

Unlike KITT, I named my car SHIT. reminds me of the Sleazy wHores In Thailand. Does anything I ask it to. Muhaha lolwtfbbq!!!

Only car I've ever named was my Audi Q5, and I named it Qbert.

Yes, My 91 mustang was called "Worst Nitemare" I misspelled nightmare on purpose. I miss my Stang. Thinking of a name for my 07 Focus
