New Lexus LX coming to Detroit! That is a joke right? This is a Toyota Land Cruiser with 18 minute things changed when first launched. A refresh is right per knowitall1985.

Maybe will debut the new spindle grille. Grilles(upper and lower) of LX570 already look very close to new spindle grille design so i don't expect significant styling changes. Hope it gets more aggressive and tough looking headlamps. Current headlamps are very soft and dated looking.

It'll be the exact same truck with revised, front and back to match newer Lexus designs, some powertrain and interior refinements, end of story.

BMW has no interest in making a competitor to the Land Cruiser. BMW doesn't do offroad vehicles. I am sure they could if they wanted to but they are more focused on sportiness and handling and the fact that few to no SUV buyers in this segment ever take their SUV's through anything worse than a gravel road or some snow, where traction control is more important than suspension travel. This is why, despite how i love the BMW performance, I drive my 02 Land Rover Discovery II over an X5 or any new SUV. To me you can't beat a discovery II for its versatility and off-road capability. Sure a jeep Rubicon is better offroad in stock trim but it can't haul what my Disco II can and it doesn't offer the same level of comfort. I will always have a Discovery II as my SUV and something more fuel efficient as my daily driver. I think I am going to wait for the Z4 twin power 4 cylinders to hit the certified pre-owned market. Motorweek averaged over 30 mpg combined city and hwy. Not bad for a car that can go 0-60 in 5.6 seconds with a 240hp 4 cylinder. I hope they make a coupe/hatch like they did with the first Z4.

Speaking of the 2012 Nissan Versa sedan and the Lexus LX I see the Nissan and the Lexus have the same designed grille.

"BMW can't design transmissions, hybrid systems, electronics, and must rely on other car companies for engineering support."

Na BMW is the best of the best of the best. It'll whip that Lexus LX out the water. BMW is my german car manufacturer. Don't be salty because BMW is better than Lexus. Eat it up!!!
