2007 GS 300 Limited Edition announced

2007 GS 300 Limited Edition announced
Lexus announced its new GS 300 LE (Limited Edition) at the British Motor Show.

New wheels, spoiler and body kit are just some of the features of this new GS.

And another option for Lexus to try and woo some idiot consumer into buying the same car with just some fancy options that bundled up.

I really hate these limited editions. They do nothing for the car. It's all cosmetic and a waste of money.

Typically the limited edition models come at the end of a car's life cycle where the manufacture "adds value" to an aging car by diggin through the parts bin and giving the base model options and making it look like the top of the line models had in the first few years.

But really, other than the "Coach Edition" that they had years past, there is no value added other than some big rim wheels and a sport kit.

No different than BMW's or MB's optional "Sport package" except Lexus calls it a "limited edition"

Same game from all car companies, just different names

Nice, but smart people will stay away from this and wait for the GS350 and GS460 in 2007.

Lexus also just announced the 2007 GS350, so agree with quizz that this is a way to sell a few "old models" before the new model year kicks in.

Looks very nice though. Loving the rims.

Fully agree that limited editions are a way to part foolish buyers with their money.
Whatever happened to the perfectly balanced in-line 6 that Lexus used to offer as the base engine for this car?

BMW 530i

Those are the same wheels that have been standard on the current GS430 since it debuted.
