What Say YOU? Do YOU Believe More Gran Coupe Buyers Will Be 5-Series OR 7-Series Defectors?
It was only a couple of weeks ago that BMW unveiled the all-new 6-Series Gran Coupe. Although it was widely known that this product would be springing to the market relatively soon, it caught me by surprise how quickly BMW took this vehicle from concept to reality.

Considering it's placement in the lineup -- between the 5'er and 7'er -- it seems that this vehicle is more or less doing the same thing as the Audi A7: it slots in between the luxury mid-size sedan offering and the luxury flagship vehicle of the brand.

Loaded up with luxury goods, the Gran Coupe can easily feature the same niceties of the 7-Series. But it also has the sportier and more nimble character of the 5-Series, which makes for a better performer.

Ultimately, we're just a bit curious.

Where will buyers be drawn from? The 5-Series or the 7-Series?

What say you?

This is not a hard questions to ask , I think that customers from 7 series probably have a new option to select this new grand coupe because the higher the series more expensive is the car, and you have include the options , the more options you add the price is going up and up.So 5 series people remain I there position to avoids higher price or they can also take a 3 series with full package and he price almost get closer to the 5 series .
The money and taste of customers make a big plus here.

I think more 5 series buyers are going to opt for this better looking car. The existing 5 is ugly. The 7 is ghastly.

Neither nor, the GC buyers would be current X6 owners.

Well this copy paste design practice is not what I was waiting for. M5 is a lot more attractive an 7 series is a lot more comfortable, so I see more sales coming from peoples that does not like the CLS, A7, Rapide, Panamera or XF. But this GC for me is just a sedan with lower profile. Most of the people will take the 5 or 7 over all other contenders in the four door coupes arena. IMO this car won't sale as well as the CLS or all other coupes based in the fact that it is just a 6 with 2 extra doors, Something that you can not say of the CLS.

Interior of 6GC looks gorgeous and much better than now dull looking interior of 7 series. It will be sportier than 7 series and luxurious rear seats(4 seater configuration) would also appeal to buyers who mostly travel with the driver. So i say more 7 series customers would go the 6GC.

definitely more 7 than 5 simply because of price. this is going to START around 80k and will fly over 100k fully loaded. will draw people driving loaded 535 and 550 (me) models who something more aggressive looking.

plus lots of 7 buyers drive alone and don't need the massive space. but they want a top-flight car.
