Frankly, the old Neon would crush the new compact wagon.

If you do any research on the new Dodge Caliber, you'll run into a curious example of duck speak, a kind of echo-chamber thinking to the effect that the Neon -- the Schmoo-styled compact sedan that the Caliber replaces after more than a decade in production -- was somehow awful and out of date, a low-functioning relative that Dodge would just as soon cut from the family album with an X-acto knife.

I agree. A completely useless car that will no doubt be followed up by some overly stuffed SRT edition that will be the only, "possible" last choice if you had to buy one.

Makes a nice paper weight though.

Poorly executed, boring, dull, passionless, FWD (I was expecting AWD)...what were they thinking?

Actually I liked this car, until I sat in it. The magazines weren't kidding about how cheap the inside feels.

It's an economical vehicle for the daily commute or the country drive into the woods for a camping trip. It's not a luxury car like the Chrysler brand. Afterall it is a Dodge. A Dodge like no Viper or SRT10 RAM. The Caliber is the base of the base in terms of quality. Can't expect much from it. You get what you pay for. You spend double the money you can pick up a luxurious Chrysler 300C..
