Volvo To Revive Legendary P1800 Sports Coupe

Volvo design director Christopher Benjamin has marked the 50th birthday of the firm’s iconic P1800 by producing images of what a modern version could look like.

The sketches show the same rounded grille, elongated bonnet and sweeping outline that made the P1800 so distinctive. And Benjamin has also managed to integrate Volvo’s current design language into the drawings.

Hmm, that car has some serious potential. Drop the T6 in it with the Polestar tuning and slot it as the C90 above the C70 and it could be their halo car.

How about making it a sister car to the C30 Hatchback. It would be similar to VW's Scirocco to the Golf GTI.

Did you even read the story....First, this is several weeks old. Second, Volvo stated that this is just a design drawing and they have NO plans on building it or reviving the P1800 name.
