STUD or DUD: Did Akon Trick Out His Ride And Make It HOT or Is It An Overly Complex Dud?

As I have stated numerous times previously, I am not a huge fan of mods. And I'll follow that up like I always do, that's because most people don't put the right mods on the right car.

Just because you can throw whatever you want on any vehicle doesn't mean you should.

That becomes even more complex with a set of wheels and tires, as there are as many options as you can draw up in your mind. The problem is that most people don't seem to comprehend that some things work and others...not so much.

You have to think of it like a pair of shoelaces. Would you couple a pair of classy, brown wingtip dress shoes with a set of chunky laces from a sneaker? It just doesnt "click."

So when I saw R&B star Akon's Spyker C8, I just had to bring this to the Spies to decide. According to the forum Luxury4Play, the car is sporting a set of one-off Savini forged wheels.

This isn't a case of buying for pedigree. It's a personal choice. Can't fault a guy for that. If it looks cool, gotta have it. Shoot, I'd buy a Morgan Aero 8 if I knew I could afford it.

Actually, since the C8 uses Audi's 4.2L V8, there are many tuners who will give it extra power. VF Engineering, for one.

That looks shockingly tasteful. It's got to be the first custom rappermobile I've seen that didn't have 26-inch chrome rimz. I like it.
