Ford To Relaunch Lincoln At Detroit Auto Show - But Is It Already Too Late?
Ford's Lincoln brand will showcase a concept of its new MKZ sedan at next week's 2012 North American International Auto Show as a major step to compete more effectively in the growing luxury market.

But Lincoln is also using a new, larger display area to highlight the relaunch of a brand that has struggled while other luxury brands have grown significantly in the last year.

If Lincoln is able to create something so nice as the illustration, they will rise again..

I think that above pic was a concept/rumor image made before the MKS was released. Lincoln hasn't released any full/partial sketches.

That sketch looks a lot like the current MKS.

It only takes a damn good car to succeed...its all on Ford to deliver a good car. Do or die.

@blazinboy

Your absolutely correct! Ford thinks it can do things on the cheap and still reap the benefits, hoping consumers will still purchase their crappy products on previous brand name reputation alone while looking past the lack of innovation, poor quality and nondescript styling.

How about a reskinned, posh Mustang and less confusing names for its cars?

Yeah, they can start with dropping the whole MK_ naming scheme and go back to real names.

And a Mustang would be a great chassis to start with in designing a performance luxury car. And despite having a live rear axle generates some pretty impressive handling for a muscle car.

@85bmw745i

I'm with you on the Mustang re-skin if done correctly. However the antiquated rear-axle suspension has to go.

Blah, blah! Whatever Ford! Every other year you claim Lincoln will once again become relevant in the luxury car arena. Prove it or just shut up!
