DETROIT AUTO SHOW: TEASED! Nissan Gives Pathfinder Fans A Sneak Before Next Week's Debut
When the current generation Nissan Pathfinder made its debut, it sort of looked like a scaled-down Armada. And considering the Armada isn't exactly easy on the eyes -- I am being VERY nice here --, the Pathfinder wasn't much of a looker either.

But it looks like Nissan is rectifying that with an all-new Pathfinder that's set to debut next week.

Check out BOTH teaser clips showing the vehicle's face and rear end down below...

The Nissan Pathfinder Concept, which is set for its world debut at the 2012 North American International Auto Show beginning on January 9th, takes all of Pathfinder's traditional SUV hallmarks and wraps them in a new platform and dramatic new aerodynamic design. With thoughtful technology, comfortable seating for seven and ample cargo room, the 4-wheel drive Pathfinder Concept previews the next-gen production Pathfinder that is scheduled to go on sale next fall. http://www.nissanusa.com/all-new-pathfinder/

This pathfinder built on the stretched Murano platform that the Infiniti JX is using

Well considering the Armada and the QX are similar, if the Armada gets renewed, it will become the Nissan Patrol sold overseas (minus the name of course).

Seems to be moving more upscale and away from its roots...can't anyone make a simple bare bones, go any where, hose it out SUV for less than 30K ?

Can't wait to see the entire car. Pathfinders are great vehicles. We had a 1994 model with 180K on it before the gas tank started leaking and we got rid of it.

I'm saddened that Nissan is going away from the boxy, bullish design of the previous generations. Nissan is definitely going after feminine and upscale markets.

There's definitely a little Grand Cherokee inspired styling in the rear design. I would say more Murano than RX.
