No cheating allowed!

...Wait for it...

...Just a little longer...

Oh-kay. Now.

When a review starts off as brutal as this, you know it's going to be bad. Then again, it is the all-new Nissan Versa and it boasts the cheapest MSRP in the entire automotive business. This thing should hardly be expected to do much else besides get you from point "A" to "B" alive.

It's a quick read, believe you me, so click "Read Article" to read what little remains of this car review -- if you even want to call it that.

Call all me crazy, but I always like to see a little progress in the machines I test-drive each year. Hence the disappointment in the “new” 2012 Nissan Versa sedan, a car that feels like it’s about 15 years old.

You get what you pay for....most people buying a Versa couldn't care a less how it drives...it's the low price that gets them...

I had one for a rental for two weeks last summer in Oklahoma. Sure wouldn't ever get my money. Tolerable for a rental, but that's about it.

I repeat myself: the Veloster is an econobox in a Halloween costume. Please start talking about something more interesting.

I agree with this article. If I were looking to spend 12k on a vehicle, I expect the quality and driving dyanmics of a Bentley. How dare Nissan offer anything less from a Versa.

What was he expecting for $11 grand? Your not getting a Lexus, its an $11K car. Its basic mode of transportation. Its a commuter car, point A to B. Thats it.

The problem is who Nissan is competing with, I for one completely disagree about the Versa lacking dynamics, I've been in the hatchback version for rentals more than once and I can tell you it's a pretty brilliant small econo-box, sometimes Nissan makes cars that feel like Toyota 7 years ago for the best and for the worst.

Worst car on the road right now tho has to be the Nissan Cube, I have never, ever been as horrified of a car. It's got horrendous overall quality and a truly despicable drive train and transmission.

Close second is the Hyundai Entourage mini-van which is probably due for a makeover.

Third is The Dodge Caliber, a car designed by a donkey

Tied is the Toyota Corolla which is pretty solid but got it's interior off a 1980's Mitsubishi

Had one as a rental a couple of months ago - biggest piece of crap I've driven in years!

Biggest fear I face regularly is when the Rental Agent hands me keys to a Versa. I don't buy the argument that it is awful because of its low price. It is awful because it is built to be a rental car. It is bigger than its class, allowing sleazy car rental agencies to classify it as a larger car.

well my biggest concern with the Versa is it's poor crash test results, just like the Fiat, both are not worth a single $ if they can't save my life in a reasonable accident
