DETROIT AUTO SHOW: RUMOR - Is THIS The 2013 Ford Fusion?
Making its way around the wires today is a shot of what is said to be the 2013 Ford Fusion. Though I could probably get a direct answer from 001, we've been too busy preparing for the big day - Monday.

This picture was captured from Ford's Apple iPad application, which counts down the days until this year's 2012 Detroit Auto Show.

According to various outlets, the vehicle will make its splash stateside first, then head across the pond to Europe as the Mondeo. Considering how many years we've missed out on the greatness of the Mondeo - that European publications claim - it's going to be interesting to see how the 2013 Fusion shakes out.

Stay tuned to AutoSpies in the coming days, the BIG event is just around the corner!

Looks nice but grille looks too much like the Aston Martin.

That is most likely the point.

The front looks like an angry Aston. Not bad

If this is the Fusion, Ford is definitely setting its sights on the Nissan Altima judging from the athletic stance and styling.

The grill does not look like an Audi at all. It does have and "Aston Martin" look about it though. I say "so what". If anything that's an enhancement rather then a demerit. It's always better to look upscale then downscale when your selling any product.I think the Fusion also looks to be incorporating the styling and (guessing) chassis of the Euro Ford Mondeo. This platform has been considered the best midsize(D) segment FWD platform in Europe. It has also tested very well against the BMW 3 series and 5 series RWD chassis becasue it has offered a viable alternative in the ride versus handling compromise. This should be a very exiting car for Ford.
