Another Automotive TV Program Bites The Dust - When Will Someone Strike Gold?

Another Automotive TV Program Bites The Dust - When Will Someone Strike Gold?
Facebook seems to be the most popular social media tool at the moment. With more than 750 million plus users, ranging from your everyday Joe, grandma and grandpa, and major corporations, clearly something is going on here.

In the auto world, journalists, personalities and manufacturers alike have taken to Facebook to unleash the latest news and unfortunately for one thought-to-be promising television program -- The Car Show -- it looks like it is dead after one season.

VIA one of the programs presenters -- Matt Farah -- a Facebook status update tells it all:

"R.I.P. The Car Show. On to bigger and hopefully much better things (that I have actual control over to make sure they are good)"

Considering this week's news of Adam Corolla joining up in NBC's Celebrity Apprentice, and Farah's latest venture with a slew of gearheads, DRIVE, we're not all that shocked.

Americans don't care about cars.

A poorly executed automotive TV show fails and that means "Americans don't care about cars"? What kind of logic is that?...Oh wait, I didn't realize that was a "LexSucks" comment. Nevermind.

How the show was poorly executed? And I’m sorry about making your comment in the last thread seem stupid. I'm apologizing because that's the only reason why you’re responding to me here. You got wounded a little. LOL!! I have a new Stalker. Welcome.

LexSucks, take a quick look at the color of the number below each of your posts. In fact, take an inventory of nearly every comment you've ever made on this site. What color is it? That's right, it's red. A red color signifies a negative number meaning others have deemed your comment misguided, disagreeable, wrong or otherwise idiotic. I'd wager that no one, with the possible exception of "uaw_lax", has as many cumulative negative votes as you, because no one else has been as consistently idiotic in their comments. Just to be clear, my goal isn't to exact some kind of petty revenge for another thread or to make you look stupid. When you make absurd comments like "Americans don't care about cars." based on the cancellation of one automotive TV program you accomplish that all by yourself.

I liked that show, much better than the American version of top gear. American top gear should have been Paul Tracey, Tanner Foust and Adam Carolla. I loved how Tanner and Paul had the rivalry in the spercars challenge show they had. They are great together. Adam could be the Jeremy Clarkson of American top gear.

I like top gear, not the American one, I have been very disappointed watching these guys making a mockery of four wheeling, it was really pathetic when they went to Alaska.... these metrosexuals showed there true colours, lol

This show lost any hope of having me as a viewer when the fat guy reviewed the GT3RS. They talked about how amazing the handling is and how all the extra aero bits make it a track monster... Then proceeded to take it out and see how fast they could get it to go in a 1 mile straight line.

I don't know why we have to try to remake everything.. The original Karate Kid was fantastic. Now they're gonna ruin Red Dawn, Short Circuit, Total Recall etc...

Top Gear UK is the only car show that matters..

The Car Show was canceled because plainly it sucked! The telecast was poorly written and the hosts were annoying as they spent too much time trying to be witty instead of reviewing the automobiles.

I agree, the reviews were too short and incomplete to really give any insight on the cars. I did like the 0-60 segment though.
