Toyota bowing to pressure to build plug in hybrids and ethanol capable vehicles

Toyota is "pursuing" development of a plug-in hybrid vehicle and is "strongly considering" the sale of ethanol-capable vehicles in the United States, says Jim Press, president of Toyota Motor North America Inc.

So this is going to be an ALL IN ONE vehicle? How many engines are they gonna have? Gas, Ethanol, Electric.

I thought GM already made a Plug-In Electric car. Maybe they should work together and build better fuel economic and real environmentally friendly vehicles. I mean they had already jointly developed the Corolla/Prism, Corolla/Matrix/Vibe
