Mini Recalls 89,000 Turbocharged Versions For Fire Risk
Turbocharged Minis are being recalled because they can catch on fire, the government says.

BMW, maker of the Mini, is recalling select Mini Cooper, Cooper S and Clubman models, including convertibles, after receiving 12 complaints about fires. The fires covered the 2007 and 2008 model, including five that completely engulfed the vehicle. The Detroit News  reports 89,000 Minis are covered by the recall.
