PIN The Grille On The Lexus - Lexus TEASES Us With New Facades But Doesn't Give Us Details
At the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, a lot of people were really stuck to the LF-LC Concept car. Rightly so, I mean did you see that thing?

It looked like an LFA and an FT86 blended together.

One thing that folks may have missed between that spectacle and a tight press conference schedule though is that Lexus was teasing something in its booth.

As we have known -- and consistently told through Lexus messaging -- since the launch of the all-new GS, there are design traits that will trickle down into the rest of the Lexus lineup. It's pretty clear after seeing the refreshed LX that the grille will be a critical element.

That said, Lexus had a couple of intriguing slides that give us a hint of the future.

One slide declares: "9 new or updated models
                                 3 F sport models"

The second slide displays six new facades of upcoming Lexus products.

So, we want you to take a look at the grilles picture and match them to the current product lineup. Can YOU figure each out?

Lexus is the master at making bad copies of German cars - in this case the Audi grille.

Each grill design pictured looks nicer than any grill design ever created (since the beginning of car design). Expect big things from this brand. All other premium manufacturers have officially been put on notice. Go Lexus!!!

I guess only time will tell if the public likes it. Sounds to me like new agressive styling as well as improved driving dynamics is going to go well with great service and reliability.

The trend to big grills is a bad one for Lexus.

They have to do big grills. That's what everyone else is doing. What else is a copycat company like Lexus supposed to do?

Just like the germans have copied off Lexus interiors the last several years. They went from cold dark interiors to warmer lexus interiors. They all copy off each other.

Cold dark interiors were always a complaint (even before Lexus came out). The fact that they warmed up the interior was going to happen with or without Lexus. I'm willing to be that Lexus interiors didn't even have anything to do with it. The current German interiors are not influenced be Lexus.

Lexus is not teasing anyone, they are just reaffirming their new marketing strategy,"Slap a new grill on an old car and call it ALL-NEW"
