Volvo C30- First production model photos

Coming to the Paris Motor Show The muscular wheel arches and the sloping roofline of the C30 Design Concept give the car a striking silhouette, which is emphasized by the extreme teardrop shape of the glasshouse. The curvature of the rear shoulders is very pronounced and further enhanced by the horseshoe-shaped tail light pattern and the glass tailgate.

“This unique glass tailgate is inspired both by the classic Volvo P1800 ES and the SCC concept car. The unusual light pattern ensures that you’ll never doubt what car is in front of you,” said Mattin.

It reminds me of a C70 and the XC90 squashed into a small package that shape resembling to the Volkswagen GTI. The interoir looks a little too plastic compared to the GTI where quality is much better. However, since Volvo's are known to be safe vehicles I am sure the saftey in this up to Volvo standards.

Looks like Volvo is going mainstream (reminds me of a volvo civic) - I think a vehicle like this released in the US will only diminish the brand. Hopefully they make it up in volume.

Not too bad of a look...but I don't think now is a good time to release another tiny car. Toyota yaris, Chevy Aveo, Kia's entire lineup, and VW beetle have the small car market locked up.

Looks identical to the show car. That is good. However, the slanting hatch probably takes up a lot of trunk volume.

Love this car, great design, functionality and volvo's acclaimed Safety.

If it is priced right it might be an all time selling, considering realibility is top notched and interior material/quality is great with great milege.

WWWW-Volvo is not acclaimed for safety anymore.
Aside from the XC90, their safety rating have fallen dramatically in recent years. Other brands, specifically BMW, SAAB, and Audi, are eating thier lunch on safety. Subaru does a dam good job with that too. As far as looks, I do think it looks great. I hope it sells well enuff for Volvo to get back in the game. They are really hurtin right now.
