Would YOU Pay $6400 EXTRA To Paint Your BMW A PORSCHE Color?

Would YOU Pay $6400 EXTRA To Paint Your BMW A PORSCHE Color?
As you may have come to realize in recent times, we love our special cars. Not necessarily limited editions, think more along the lines of custom paint jobs and unique little details. Well, one such example has come up.

While clicking through BMW's for sale on eBay, I stumbled across a BMW M3 that's sporting tons of carbon fiber. But that's not all. It's also painted "Speed Yellow," which is a Porsche color.

Here's the kicker though: It's Agent 001's favorite color.

That's not hyperbole either. 001 likes Speed Yellow so much, in the early days of AutoSpies he came THIS close to naming the site SpeedYellow.com. In fact, I dare you to open up a new tab and key in the URL "http://www.speedyellow.com".

All of that said, in addition to the history lesson, we're curious:

Would YOU pay $6,400 to paint your BMW a  PORSCHE color?

Nice- Speed Yellow suits it well.

Much like Phoenix Yellow suited the E46 M3.....

And yes, if I wanted a special color and had the cash I would do it too...

It's a manual transmission. It just happens to be shifted electronically. :)

Why not?

Meh... the M3 just doesn't look right in that colour. The car's body is too understated for such a loud yellow, and ends up looking mismatched.

M3 ??? UNDERSTATED ???

You do realize you are talking about the E92 Model right ?

Um, yeah... it's not a particularly flashy car. There's nothing wrong with that, but it means it's not suited to this brash paint.

Why bring personal finances into a car discussion?

Guess you must have read my reply to you in the other thread? Hence the unprovoked attack here LOL!!!

If not here's the link: http://www.autospies.com/news/Audi-To-Spotlight-S7-And-Distinctive-LED-Headlights-In-Superbowl-Ads-68712/

Does bashing Lexus upset you that much that you have to call people names and try to attack a person’s personal finances? Wow! This is crazy!! I imagine that you look exactly like your Avatar.

A yellow BMW is an "obnoxious thing" while a Yellow Lexus LF-A is what? Double standard by the Lexus loony squad.

"Lexsucks rides the Yellow short bus"

- Is that how you defend your double standard? LOL!!

I'll say it again; A yellow BMW is an "obnoxious thing" while a Yellow Lexus LF-A is what?

It took you 24hrs to put together that incoherent crap. I couldn’t understand a word of it.

Oh yeah. My posts were giving positive boost in that thread. Yours wasn’t. That must really upset you? More people agreed with me in that thread than with you. LOL!!!! You didn't even comment about that in your incoherent reply.

I'll rephrase my other comment for you, Lexsucks: a bright yellow paint job would suit an LFA because the colour and styling would be equally ostentatious. On an M3 it's a bad match.

I'm looking at the R8 Spyder, and thinming how much more I'd like it in a more expressive color, such as the one above. So yeah, I would pay extra to get a car I love in the color *I* want!

I'd rather have it in the orange color.

I'd get obama to subsidize the paint job by getting the jerk to agree that painting would create jobs. obama is easily led around by his nose.
