GM CEO Agrees To Testify To House Panel Over Volt fires
General Motors CEO Dan Akerson on Wednesday agreed to testify in front of a U.S. House panel next week looking into how safety regulators handled an investigation into Chevrolet Volt fire risks.

"Dan has agreed to testify at the hearing, and he looks forward to doing it," GM spokesman Greg Martin told The Detroit News. This will be Akerson’s first testimony on Capitol Hill since he took over as CEO of GM in September 2010.

Oh dear! I wonder what he'll testify? The NHTSA didn't follow the Volt user manual's very explicit and detailed "In Case of a Crash" instructions, and they thereby brought about the easily avoidable conditions that enabled the fire to occur? I hope the testimony reminds The Inquisitors that the NHTSA attempted to reproduce the conditions which caused the fire, but could not (i.e., crash a Volt, and let it sit for weeks with fully charged batteries, contrary to the bold warnings in the Volt's user manual).

Right, from now on the NHTSA should crash-test all vehicles fully fueled and with their engines running and see which ones will catch on fire or explode and how long it would take after the impact.

Hypocrisy galore!

Lets say we take the $23.6billion loss figure, divide it among the 307 million people in the USA, you'll be left with a $73.76 tax credit. lmao. Yet you want them to give you one about 680x larger? lol
