SPIED: The McLaren MP4-12C Spyder Is EXPOSED And Caught Going Topless
Last year I wrote that the McLaren MP4-12C stole the Ferrari 458 Italia's thunder when it finally was introduced. And now, it appears that McLaren's follow-up act will continue to do the same to the 458 Italia Spyder.
As we've seen in other spy shots, it's clear that McLaren is working on a drop-top variant of the MP4-12C coupe. But, thanks to the UK's CAR Magazine, there were some cameraphone pictures snapped of a supposed styling buck.
The handful of photos display the Maccer with its top up and down while being COMPLETELY uncamouflaged -- doesn't get much better than that.
Though it's not perfectly clear in these spy images, the MP4 convertible will have tall buttresses, a kin to the Ferrari 360/430, that will protect passengers in event of a rollover crash.
Although our world exclusive spyshots are a bit grainy - they were taken on a cameraphone - they reveal exactly how the McLaren 12C roadster will look when it's unveiled later in 2012.
