001 couldn't resist...I finally broke down and got a vanity plate!
Since moving to California in 1999, I've always had the urge to get a vanity plate.

So today I broke down and finally went for it!

The only bad news is it takes 8-12 weeks to arrive!

If you have a vanity plate, share yours with the readers of AutoSpies.com!

I'm sure there are some creative ones out there.

Don't forget to upload a photo of it if you have it!

Nice 001....you'll have to tell us how many people ask you what that is.

I have one on my truck but it's just of my first and middle name...kind of lame, I know.

"MRK THMS"

Forgot to mention...

Even if you don't have one but you've seen a memorable one, be sure to share it...

In my hometown of Buffalo, New York a guy has a Corniche convertible with the plate 'EX POOR'.

I saw one on a new Lexus ES: earndit

If I ever could afford an M car I would write: MPower

Or for Mercedes: AMG4eva

Or for Audi: Quattro

No offense 001, but that looks like a PHOTOSHOP to me. The top part of the first "S" is sharply cut off, and the rest of the letters appear so grainy. Nice try though... ;-)

Hi, just wanted to point out that when you go the the DMV website to get the vanity plate they have a place where you can see the customized plate before you order. That is how it looks like on the DMV website.

Here is the webpage for DMV california:
https://vrir.dmv.ca.gov/ipp/ippMain.jsp. Try it out.

001, cool idea, i'm glad that Autospy wasn't taken yet! So what made you get the whale plate?

caffeinetrip,

The choices aren't the greatest from the CA. DMV so I chose the whale because you can't live here and not love the ocean.

Also, I'm told that part of the $90 fee goes for cleanup and I'm all for that...don't ever want to see it spoiled.

That said, I wish you could put any design you want by just supplying a photoshop.

I've got a good one for all the M3 lovers out there...near my office there is someone with a '05 M3 with the 19" wheels that says "MPOWER3. It actually is one of the better ones I have seen.

And then there's the idiot with the 325CI that has a STOPH8N plate. Not a fan of that one.
