Toyota Motor Sales Preparing 19(!) NEW Vehicles To LAUNCH In 2012 - Do YOU Know Them ALL?
Not too long ago, Toyota was doing its very best to climb up out of a deeply dug ditch. After a slew of recalls and unfortunate incidents, the brand once known for making some of the most reliable products had an image that was tainted.

Now that there's a bit of distance from that stain on the marque's history, Toyota Motor Sales is preparing to introduce a bunch of new products to help sooth the pain.

With nearly 20 new vehicles coming to market, it has done quite a bit of work. Yes, I said nearly 20. 19, to be exact.

That's a lengthy list of debuts, even if you consider that TMS is made up of three brands, namely: Toyota, Lexus and Scion.

But thanks to some "informed speculation" compiled by Kaizen Factor, it seems that this picture isn't too foggy:

1) Lexus GS350
2) Lexus GS450h
3) Toyota Prius C
4) Toyota Prius Plug-In
5) Scion FR-S
6) Toyota Land Cruiser
7) Lexus LX570
8) Scion IQ EV
9) Toyota RAV4 EV
10) Toyota RAV4
11) Toyota RAV4 Hybrid
12) Toyota Avalon
13) Lexus ES350
14) Lexus ES300h
15) Lexus RX350
16) Lexus RX450h
17) Lexus LS460
18) Lexus LS600h
19) Mystery large Toyota hybrid

Does THIS sound right to you?

When you think about this list, it's a pretty accurate assessment of products in the TMS portfolio that are either slated to debut OR are in DIRE need of a refresh.

refresh is not the same as new models, seems to me that the Land Cruiser and LX570 were not new, just updated...

@CarCrazed

I disagree.

New is simply refresh, whereas all-new implies complete overhaul.

Interesting. I call it like it is as in refresh versus new and say all new when it is just that. hehe Good to know your view.

The camry was a refresh too, as was the corolla. from the side they are the same as the previous cars aside from the different front and rear ends. The interiors are a big improvement though.

Ummm Camry wasn't a refresh...a lot more than the bumpers were changed.

They are all coming out around the same time because they all share similar parts. Now that the Camry has been launched, the ES/RX are ready to go. Same with Land Cruiser/LX. The cost benefits of synergy. Lexus has Toyota blood and bones.
