Audi A8 Has the World's Best Sound System

The metal speakers do give it an upscale looks. Especially the one that pops out and above the surface.

Good job, looks good. Wasn't the Mark Levinson in the Lexus LS 430 the previous best system? Looks like MB, BMW, and Lexus have to revamp their systems too.

The article did mention that "To be eligible, a vehicle had to be new or redesigned for the 2006 model year car, or a 2007 model available for sale in calendar year 2006." Maybe that's why the Levinson system in the LS 430 wasn't nominated.

Even if it participated in the contest, I think that Audi's Bang & Olufsen system would have won.

I had the opportunity to get a Demo of the B&O system and all I can say is.....damn!
The tweeters from the dashborad will raise about 2-3 inches.
What really surprised me is that when you increase the volume to about 1/3 its limit it seems awefully loud inside the car, however, you get out, close the door and you can barely hear it from the inside...
Just amazing.
With 14 speakers and 1,100 watts.....damn!

iit sounds great and is very acurate but people that like 30" subwolfers and rap will not like it that much just like all B&O
