House Of Cards Begins To Fall As Price Fixing Scandal Forces Japanese To Rethink Keiretsu System

For Japanese auto parts suppliers, these are deeply disturbing times. A business culture that has long overlooked collusion is under attack.

Japan's Denso Corp., which supplies major automakers worldwide and is a member of the Toyota Group, and Yazaki Corp. last week joined Furukawa Electric Co. in pleading guilty in North America to bid-rigging.

All three suppliers will pay hefty fines. Seven Yazaki and Furukawa middle managers -- all Japanese nationals -- face up to two years' jail time in the United States.

Also, it's $14.79 trillion, I normally wouldn't correct rounding, but that amount divided by the 309million people is $47,864 which is over $7,000 less than your claim of $55k. So your statement of owing MORE than $55,000.00 is incorrect and over exaggerated.

Interesting, really? I didn't know the US government had $14.79 trillion in debt in 1992. That fractional raise over the past two decades really doesn't seem as bad now </sarcasm>

Or do you mean the population number? Lets see, $15 trillion/$55k= 273 million people. I didn't realize that the population of the USA decreased by 36.3 million people over the past decade lol.
