Pointless, yes. However, we also benefit from the lowest prices in the world, if I'm not mistaken. Audi makes razor thin margins here, so they have to be selective what they send us. With our currency so low in value, that's what happens.

Look at Japan...Honda and Toyota has had to cut corners, cut costs, de-content, etc. That's worked well....

worked well for who? Infiniti, Lexus and Acura have lost 15% market share in the last 5 years! (their decline started WAY BEFORE the tsunami, and Nissan was not even affected by it)

Audi's largest growth market is China, not the US, if I'm not mistaken.
