YES! This is what I've been saying since the Genesis was released: Hyundai needs to make its luxury cars their own brand.

Maybe now they'll stop counting the 2 differnet Genesis vehicles as one car.

LMAO! Typical Hyundai B.S.! None of these low budget marketing tricks are going to work and will do squat to attract the majority of high-end automobile buyers. In fact, their lack of attention to detail and cut-rate branding strategies will only repel most luxury car consumers and reinforce the fact that Hyundai has no business in the luxury car segment.

Most (75%) of the 2012 Genesis sedans that I see already have the wing logo on the trunk. Hyundai America might as well market it that way....

Hyundai is lost and has no real strategy on how to market luxury automobiles. You would think Hyundai possibly had the insight to have specific branding, nomenclature and proper logo's in place before they even started offering Genesis and Equus models in the U.S.!

Feeling the heat? huh? This is so funny to watch you hypocrites cringe because you know that Lexus is ripe for the taking with its stale lineup of 5 year old + designs (sans new GS). There’s a reason why only Americans purchase Lexuses. It’s because we are dumb.

Yeah, Autospies needs to quit doing a "Hyundai" and upgrade their website with a all new design, along with providing a decent commenting portal like Disqus or IntenseDebate which will allow one to edit posts.

Agreed. But I don't knock people for grammar or spelling. We're not writing college papers here. But an “Edit” function would be nice.

Yup, not surprised at all! Maybe Hyundai's new slogan should be
"Hyundai, the illusion of perfection"

Toyota/Lexus loving Hyundai Bashers. LOL!!! And when someone says something negative about a Toyota or a Lexus you guys attack them. Can you guys see how hypocritical that is?

@LexSucks

Boo, hoo, hoo! Go get a tissue! I personally have no brand allegiance to any particular make or manufacture, as they all have their strengths and weaknesses. And while it's true that Hyundai currently produces some decent cars, half-assing it and cutting corners will not work in the luxury car game, especially when you already have a somewhat shaky reputation and not built any cache or brand allegiance among consumers.

It is always a good move to segregate the standard vehicles from the more expensive ones as the people who just want an inexpensive cars might get intimated by the price tag of the upmarket ones.
