LEAKED! Patent Details Reveals Volvo's Big-Time Sedan Plans

When Volvo's bosses said that they wanted to take on cars like the BMW 7-Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class, most folks laughed and said "Yeah, sure."

Well, it appears that the Swedes weren't kidding.

Case in point: Check out the brand's latest patent filings, which feature a vehicle looking almost EXACTLY identical to the Concept You. For those of you not in the loop, the Concept You is a Volvo concept that appeared at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor show and 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show.

To be quite honest, it looks more like a Lincoln than a Volvo but maybe that's what Volvo needs to push its sales volume higher...

It's exactly like the concept because the patent request IS for the concept, not a production car. It's not the first time an automaker has filed to patent a concept vehicle design (http://www.motoringfile.com/2011/07/22/production-paceman-not-revealed-in-patent-rendering/), and it won't be the last.

The picture of the car in Blue is the Concept You, the picture of the design patent is the Concept Universe. The concepts show a modern interpretation of the original Volvo PV designs.

Looks exactly like a tuner CLS Mercedes. What a rip off design!!!!!
