Toyota CEO Had To Push Engineers To Create A FR-S Coupe That Could Perform
While the Scion FR-S sporty coupe was under development, Toyota Motor Corp. President Akio Toyoda came out to test drive the vehicle once a month.

And he didn’t always like what he drove.

Among his most scathing criticisms, recalls chief engineer Tetsuya Tada, came when Toyoda stopped dead in his tracks during a test run and blasted the vehicle as a car he couldn’t “talk to.”

So Bill, what does Chrysler make that competes with this? And don't say the Fat overweight Challenger. Chrysler has no light weight agile sports car.

- Well.... Where is it? The Current FR-S coupe is slower than a Camry V6.

"suckboy, a lot of BMWs and Audis are slower than the V6 Camry also. Do you drive a Camry?"

- Who cares if some BMW's and some Audi's are slower than a Camry V6? You must think I'm some brand loving fanboy like yourself. Do I drive a Camry? Why would I want put myself through such boredom?

Too bad that couldn't even translate into one win in Formula One.

Look I've not been a Toyota fan. However with this guy at the helm perhaps he can shake things up a bit. The thing is when he talked about not being able to talk to the car this concept should be applied to every freaking Toyota model! Not just the FRS,GT86 and the BRZ every single car from the cheapest Scion to the most expensive mass production
Lexus should have that same talkative feel as this sportscar. It should not matter if it's FWD AWD or RWD. (And I'm not talking about the Lexus LFA because it clearly has got it!). If Toyota can do this with "every" car they make they will be able to take the crown away from BMW as the company with the "ultimate driving machine". I see no reason why they need to make "Plain Jane Vanilla" cars any further. With this sports car the've proven they can do it. President Toyoda should not allow another boring car to ever be made at Toyota again regardless of the marketing segment they are selling to.

angryinch1,

The occupiers aren't the problem. But you are so brainwashed by the 1% that you think that the occupiers are the problem and not corporate greed. Get a clue.
