UAW Calls For "Direct Action" Protests As It Tries To Attach Itself The Occupy Wall Street Movement

UAW Calls For
United Auto Workers President Bob King used the anniversary of the Flint sit-down strike on Friday to call for "direct action" — including nonviolent civil disobedience — to take back America from the "right-wing Republicans" and "one-percenters" he says have hijacked this democracy.

And their first target will be General Electric Co.

Seventy-five years after workers took over General Motors' factories and forced the company to sign its first national contract with the union, King said the same sort of militancy is needed to stop what he called a rollback of workers' rights and civil rights.

Hey, UAW.

I'm "Taking Action."

I'm buying BMW's made in South Carolina by NON-UNION workers.

I will never again buy a car made by the UAW.

CARS ARE FUN

"King said the same sort of militancy is needed "

Really? You want to hop in bed with these economic terrorists and you release that sort of statement?

Joe,

No explanation for your "economic terrorists" comment? Not Surprised. It’s obvious that all you are doing is repeating crap that you heard on talk radio (or TV).

lol, as far as I know, I came up with the economic terrorist idea the moment I found out people were purposely going out of their way to ruin the productivity of the nation because they aren't willing to settle for what they are worth in the marketplace. I don't watch the news, or listen to the radio. Your comment is completely off basis.

Further, I didn't realize I actually had to break down such a simple statement.

Ruin the productivity of a nation? That is beyond laughable. The Occupiers running the productivity of a nation? WOW. Yet you don’t have a single complaint about the actual folks (Wall St) who almost brought down the economy and caused a recession. Why do you give them a pass?

"they aren't willing to settle for what they are worth in the
marketplace.”

- And who determines that worth? Seems to me that you think they should accept anything. You are a shill for the 1% sorry.

You think that capitalism almost brought down the economy? Do I even need to post a counter point? bahahaha

No, I think people who are too lazy to go find a job (or believe they are worth more then what they are) are the ones at fault, and should not be praised.

UAW parasites shacking up with the flea baggers to whine that they're not getting enough free stuff from us taxpayers. Surprised it took this long.

Nope. Solyndra shouldn't get $500,000,000 in taxpayer money either.

Step up your game lexsucks. Your fallacious "tu quoque" arguments aren't going to cut it.

So the UAW hack says their first target is GE who "makes billions and billions and billions of dollars and pays not a single penny in taxes." and then goes on to say the UAW must do everything in its power to re-elect President Barack Obama and oust Republicans.

Doesn't the UAW idiot realize that Obama is in bed with GE having appointed GE's CEO, Jeff Immelt, to his gov't economic advisory panel? Of course, the UAW isn't going to let facts get in the way of their extreme leftist political advocacy.

GE hasn’t been paying taxes long before Obama. But you are right about his appointments. But Obama is not the first President to employ former company execs. But after reading your post you would think that he is, and that Obama is responsible for GE not paying taxes.

And enough of this extreme left crap. The left aren't the ones trying to repeal the 20th century.

"enough of this extreme left crap".

I couldn't agree more, lexsucks. America has had enough of the incestuous relationship between leftist politicians and the uaw/unions that sees millions in campaign donations to buy off dems who, in turn, use their power and taxpayer money to bail out the uaw parasites who contributed heavily to the bankrupting of American auto manufacturers with their unreasonable demands. Tired of the divisive class warfare, the race-baiting, the undermining of Constitutional principles, the uncontrolled spending, the punishment of responsibility and success and rewarding of irresponsibility. Yes, enough of this "extreme left crap".

To compare the civil rights movement of the '60s with the occupy mobs and the uaw thugs is an insult to the former. But leave it to a leftist like billfrombuckhead to inappropriately inject race into the conversation. What the uaw pursues now has nothing to do with "social justice". There's nothing just about intimidating those who disagree with you with violence. Nor is there anything just about bankrupting the companies you work for and demanding productive Americans bail you out. The "social justice" today's left promotes is a bastardization of the English language standing for nothing more than the forced redistribution of income from the productive to the unproductive.

billfrombuckhead, I'm going to ignore your bigotry against those who live in the south and ask you a simple question. Do actors, athletes and other celebrates who make tens of millions per year count as "1%ers"? What about current and former democrat politicians like John Corzine who lost billions in investor's money? And all the Wall St. people who gave record-setting campaign contributions to the Obama campaign? Do they count as the "1%ers" lefties like yourself are targeting? Just curious.
