EXCLUSIVE: First Real-Life Photos Of The 2012 Hyundai Equus 5.0 Live From Sin City
They say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. But sometimes you just have to tell.

Agent001 snuck into to Sin City last night to meet up with the executives at Hyundai in the wee hours of the morning. On the agenda was the 2012 lineup and the 2012 Hyundai Equus was the first up to the plate.

For those of you that thought Hyundai couldn't make the cut in the luxury market? 001 is reporting back that the Equus is as "smooth as butta and is actually a better driver than LS and the S-class!"  He added that for the money it's unbeatable. Those nay sayers better listen up!

You know this sounds a bit like what they were saying about Lexus when they first entered the market too.
  He added that if they update the design to their more fluidic designs the next go round the competition will REALLY have to worry.

Take a look at the series below and be sure to check out the full gallery below.

How did you get pictures without people all over the sidewalks? That ain't the Vegas I know!

Meh, exterior styling is generic "luxury", nothing memorable, but good enough. Interior is more of the same - good enough for the money. They should've taken some risks to make a statement, but clearly they are going after the conservative Lexus LS400 crowd. Those looking to make a statement in the neighborhood will pass.

@quizz

I'd argue that anyone looking to make a statement will pick up a Porsche Panamera, Audi A7, Maserati Quattroporte or Mercedes-Benz CLS.

i really do like this car and its generic/ copied looks, i would just never spend 50+ for a hyundai.

I'd get a Maxima over a Cadillac sedan.

Someone should tell Hyundai that the center stack on the console is very dated looking. Also sticking an analogue clock in the middle of the climate control buttons to make things look upscale has the opposite effect.

Well, it's not like Hyundai is the ONLY mfr to stick an analogue clock to its center stack...

Yes but in the middle of the climate control buttons? Using upscale features in a bad way does not make for an upscale vehicle.

I don't think the designers intention was to create a European-looking product.

If we were talking about the Kia Optima that's another story...

Ooh, it sure sparkles...not for me, but probably a good car. Yeah, I think I'd take the 300 over this.

Nice enough for the money and will definitely dent LS sales but I'd pick the 300 instead
