Fact Checking The Candidates On The Bailout - Who To Believe And Who Is Blowing Smoke

Michigan has become squirm central for Republican presidential candidates who are trying to explain their opposition to the auto bailout before the big primary in the home of automakers. Their tale is terribly tangled, and President Barack Obama isn't telling it straight either.

Obama, in taking credit, and Republicans, in assigning blame, have ignored one driving force behind the love-it-or-hate-it bailout: George W. Bush in the waning days of his presidency. Moreover, GOP rivals Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum would have people believe the United Auto Workers union runs General Motors and the government "gave" it away, neither true.

spy6-I would not write off the "Acorn" vote yet. Obama has barely spent any money for his re-election campaign yet while the Republicans are spending left and right with no clear front runner yet. If Romney does not win Michigan and Arizona they could end up with a brokered convention. That could play into Obama's hands quite well.Further it's a proven fact that independent voters will vote for more for a moderate Republican then a far right winger.If a conservative Republican wins the nomination it's very possible that Obama will be re-elected abd you might be forced to drive the Chevy Volt!!WHAT A FREAKIN NIGHTMARE!!
