Ford’s 1.0-Liter EcoBoost Engine To Have 177 HP!
Ford’s upcoming Fiesta ST will debut with a new four-cylinder EcoBoost engine displacing 1.6 liters and delivering around 177 horsepower, but in the future we may see the engine downsized though at no cost to performance.

A Ford exec has revealed that the automaker’s latest three-cylinder EcoBoost engine, which displaces just 1.0 liter, could be tuned to deliver as much as 177 horsepower.

177HP/L, that is impressive. I don't think any sports car does that right now (Veyron Grand Sport is 150HP/L). I wonder if it'd be possible to scale that ratio up to a larger engine. Think of what you could do with that.
