STUD or DUD: Did The Infiniti Emerg-E JUST Steal The 2012 Geneva Motor Show BEFORE It Even Started?
One vehicle that's piqued my interest has been the all-new mid-engined Infiniti set to debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. That's because when we caught a first glimpse of the product in 3D form, thanks to patent applications, I swore it bore some resemblance to the Lotus Evora -- a car with some of the best lines in the business.

Now that the shots have leaked out before the Geneva festivities begin, I have a lot to say. But before I get going, I need to turn my attention to you, the Spies.

That's because I know our readers are not only some of the toughest critics, but also because YOU guys are the one's who would have the means to snap one up! YOUR opinion is important to us and believe you me, it's also important to Infiniti.

That said, is the Emerg-E a STUD or a DUD?

Fabulous in the way that only a concept can be. If this makes it to production, it'll be drastically toned down.

It looks like a silver 458. Very sharp looking.

Well, at least this 'spindle' grille looks better than Lexi grilles...regardless, I'd rather have a new NSX

If this comes in AWD, no other car can catch it.

Somehow that engine reminds me of RB26.... even though it's impossible to go back to I-6.

But the design is so last.... decade. Infiniti is now 1 generation behind Lexus in terms of design.

I'm gonna have to agree with grysko on this being the best looking Infiniti ever, at least to my knowledge (and I'm fairly certain I've seen them all). If this thing could even MATCH the performance of the Nissan GT-R we're all in for a real treat. Mid-engined to boot? This thing could not only sell but put Infiniti in a position to actually start pumping out some real flagship vehicles like it ought to. I appreciate the M-hybrid, but we all know they could do better, and this might just be the impetus for them to actually put together some real deal luxury cars for the first time, really.

Side profile looks exactly like a Ferrari 458 Italia.
