Sounds like campaigning rhetoric to me.

Good thing the current administration saved the US auto industry from bankruptcy...and a previous administration saved Chrysler from bankruptcy so they could go bankrupt yet again. Better still, we should pass laws to make Americans buy American cars, and to have US auto-makers price them in a way that lets them collect their money directly out of US citizens' pockets at the point of sale, instead of the round-about way of bailouts. We should pass laws to ensure that union workers get the income and lifestyle they're entitled to. And laws to prevent people from bad-mouthing a system that works.

It has nothing to do with the auto industry and everything to do with the $23,675,562.00 in bribe money the uaw has given the democratic party in the last several years. Do you really think Obama would care about bailing out a private business if it didn't add money to his re-election campaign coffers or help him consolidate power?

So Obama refused to let the uaw thugs be "hung out to dry" after they helped run GM into the ground with their unsustainable, parasitic demands. What about the taxpayers?

Last time I checked it was a Republican president (Bush) that started the bailout. All Obama is doing here is pandering for votes. Give me money and I will do your bidding. Nice democracy we have.
