They are all the same body, they follow a common template and all have to be the exact same shape. the only difference is the hood and the stickers for headlights and grill. Nascar is considered stock car racing but there is nothing remotely similar to the real car. they don't make a 2 door rear wheel drive V8 impala or fusion, chargers are not 2 doors either. If the car is a 4 door fwd then the race car needs to be too.

Yes, I think we need to go back to racing "stock" cars. Add a roll cage, gut the interior, add all the safety stuff/fire extinguishers, and allow some minor aerodynamic enhancements.

Bring it back to 1960s standards or so.

If they did this, I would actually watch again. It also would definitely improve the offerings to those of us that aren't content with the "bread and butter" cars that are being produced now.
