Las Vegas HAS A Clone Of The Eiffel Tower So Why NOT A Clone Of The Nürburgring. It MAY Happen!
Our friends over at Autoguide.ca seem to have picked up a cool scoop from Sirius XM...

"Bruton Smith who is the CEO of Speedway Motorsports, wishes to clone another one of European’s infamous landmarks in Las Vegas – but not quite what you may be thinking. Instead of building a billion-dollar casino, Smith is aspiring to clone the infamous Nürburgring, 10 or so miles from Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

In an interview with Sirius XM Sports, Smith admitted that he has been in talks with “some Germans” on duplicating the Ring in Nevada and has already approached the Governor and the Nevada Bureau of Land Management for the 8,000 acres he’ll need."

Car lovers rejoice!

Are you down with it?

Would YOU make the trip?

It has always been a dream of mine to run the ring. @ThierryHenry14 because it won't cost you an arm and a leg to get your own car there if you live in the U.S.

I think this would be a very expensive project with a small revenue streamnso I don't see it happening. But if it does than I amm all for it.

Large cost but with some imaginative marketing and event scheduling this could be a financial winner( club events, F1, Indy, 24hr & 12 hr endurance races, etc etc).

Once again with the brain freeze! Why is it that some Americans think the way to improve our image is to COPY the Germans? Why do we need to have our sports cars "validated" at the Ring, some ad even went as far as saying, "our car went to school in Germany"!!! Gosh, really? so it is not good enough to have American cars designed, built, and tested in America?... because THAT IS EXACTLY THE MESSAGE were are communicating!

You want a Nurburgring in America, then build a BETTER one, and please don't call it a "ring".

This is one major reason I don't buy American cars. Why buy a copy when you can have the real thing.

I dont see why not. Vegas does need some help out there. They are hurting really bad and their job market sucks. This would help out the whole community and bring a new attraction to the city that enver sleeps. It would be a great idea for a bachelor party.

i still have a hard time believing they can get all those elevation changes down to a tee..the cost for an f1 track is about 2 billion, that's with like maybe a little incline and decline every now and then, the ring is 10 times the length of those tracks with intense elevation changes. Where are they going to find something like that in the desert of los vegas? this is going to be stupidly expensive
