Barabus 1000 bhp supercar

Barabus Sports Car Ltd. (not to be confused with Brabus, the Mercedes-Benz tuner) has been working on a 1005-bhp supercar for the past ten years. Now that's dedication. It's being unveiled at the British Motor Show in London this week, but we were getting impatient waiting for pics. A quick email to Barabus resulted in these pictures of the hyper exotic sports car that's powered by a 6.0L V8 with twin turbochargers and dual intercoolers. We were told by the company its website should be ready by tomorrow, at which time there should be a lot more information on this potential Veyron killer.

This is just a horrible copy of the S7. The design doesn't flow from the nose to the rear and the interor is just plain.

10 years and this is what he came up with? Pass.

Mark: Just how long should it take for a small maker take to design a car? The big three take 3 to 5 years without the funding issues a startup has.

I doubt the 1.67 second 0-60 and the 270 mph top speed. I doubt that it weights 1/2 of the Veyron, which does 0-60 in 2.5. Also, the Veyron with its very advanced aerodynamics only does 254. This gets a 10 on my BS meter. It is interesting but I want proof.

Come on guys, give the poor guy some credit. It's pretty good for a small independant car maker.

I do agree however that it does look like the S7.

I want to see proof that this supercar can do 0-60 in 1.67 second and top max speed at 270 mph. Man if this is true than it the fastest supercar out there. But I doubt it, man.. 0-60 in 1.67 second that lighting fast..I'm just exaggerating. Where the proof?

PlanoA4 - My comment about the length of time was more for the design of car than the mechanics. I am really not a fan of these 'small makers' that come out and try and get into the extoic/luxury market with their home made knockoffs. They are only going to make a VERY small number (for those that have space in a collection), rake in the cash and close their doors. For the most part people will stick to their Ferarri's, Lambo's, etc...

I go more for the people that are behind the Tesla Roadster, not because it's electric but just for the fact it's more practical and more likely to be sold en mass.
