BMW recalls 367,000 cars in the U.S.
NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- BMW is recalling 367,000 5-series and 6-series cars in the United States because a battery cable cover in the trunk may have been incorrectly installed.

The problem could lead to chafing of the battery cable which could, in turn, lead to electrical problems, trouble starting and, in some cases, fire, the automaker said.

The 367,000 cars are just the recall total in the United States.

"In all, BMW (BAMXF) is recalling 1.3 million cars worldwide for this problem."

Way to try and reduce the number by 1 million cars to try and make BMW look better. When BMW is lining your pockets with cash, you need to bend the truth to show only a quarter of the problem, instead of the whole thing...

BMW stated it can be fixed in less than 30 minutes at the dealer, and its for E60 5 series which are no longer in production.

If you actually READ the article there is referencing the 1.3 million global figure.

Autospies usually only report on US sales/recalls anyway... so whats your point GermanNut?

BMW is lining the pockets of Autospies. I submitted two stories, one from The Wall Street Journal, another from MSNBC, both referencing the 1.3 million global figure. Of course Autospies posts the 367,00 number article from CNN instead.

This makes the Toyota/Lexus recalls look puny.

TopNeuro, the point is that by posting your article (or any article for that matter)that has a headline referencing the 367,000 U.S. figure instead of the 1.3 million GLOBAL figure, Autospies continues to tweak the truth when dealing with any negative news story or piece of information regarding BMW. When BMW is lining the Agents and Autospies' pockets with cash, Autospies simply can't tell the truth because if they did, BMW would likely pull their funding.

Ah, but look when it was posted . . . the news was all over the global media a day before Autospies posted this, usually Autospies posts bad news within hours . . . I do subscribe to the conspiracy theory !
