The Very FIRST Lexus LFA Nurburgring Package LANDS On US Soil - That's Not ALL, Though
According to those in the know, we have only begun to start seeing the most special LFAs arrive. In recent months we've received behind the scenes pictures of LFAs in special color combinations; however, we haven't seen the illustrious Nurburgring Package-equipped vehicle actually sold to a customer.

That all changed as the FIRST LFA Nurburgring Package hit our shores and landed at the LFA prep facility.

The owner clearly wanted something special and they definitely got it. THIS particular LFA is even MORE unique thanks to some special additions:

- Unpainted carbon fiber roof (only seen on LFA prototypes)
- Unpainted carbon fiber winglets over rear taillights
- Color-matched airbag seatbelts
- Upper dash in red with white stitching
- White leather door panels with red leather door grabs
- Std. LFA seats in red over Alcantara-lined race seats

These subtle changes may make it the MOST unique LFA to come out of the factory yet.

Houston, the Nürburgring has landed! That's right, LFA #288--the Western Hemisphere's first Lexus LFA Nürburgring Package*--was delivered yesterday in Southern California!

This $70k upgrade package is more than just a name and some pretty bits--it actually has legit credentials.
Lexus race driver Akira Iida piloted one around the Green Hell in a blistering 7:14.64, making it the fourth fastest car to ever make the run. LFA #288 is not just 1 of 50 Nürburgring Package cars allocated (not all 50 will be built), it's probably the only customized and undoubtedly the most expensive LFA ever built! Half a million dollar LFA anyone?

Nice combination of color, but I still like Ferrari Red better.

I must say, for a car that was born from a race track, it has done little to nothing to impact the racing scene...

This car should be replacing the SC430 in Super GT GT500...

still an impressive engineering achievement. too bad it's really ugly and hugely unprofitable.

Same could be said for the Bugatti Veyron.
