Daimler is not interested in Ducati
Daimler AG denied a report by Corriere della Sera newspaper suggesting that it is interested in acquiring Italian motorcycle maker Ducati. A Daimler spokesman denied that the German carmaker has plans to acquire Ducati, saying that they have no interest in taking over the Italian motorcycle maker.

It is not likely the report is factual. Audi AG has right of first refusal on any sale of Ducati to any other company than Audi AG. Not likely Audi would allow Daimler to purchase it if it it is interested in acquiring it. That would be sacrilege to the Audi nation.
