NEW YORK AUTO SHOW WORLD EXCLUSIVE: The First Live Shots Of Chevrolet's Segment Busting Impala
Just a bit earlier we told you the 2014 Chevrolet Impala was a huge improvement. But the first live images from the Big Apple have arrived, and we have to say this one is going to be a game changer for the American automaker.
Checkout these exclusive shots by Agent001 and note the attention to detail and the execution of this all new design.
Boring is out with this one and style is in. First reports back are indicating the choices in materials are a notch above the competition and the execution is flawless. We guess you can say your tax dollars were hard at work here creating a segment buster that will not only rival the competition but outclass many of them in one single stroke!

Nice color of leather, but doesn't seem appropriate for family sedan.
Lots of design, but the quality is still questionable - hint: look at the rounded corner of window kink and edge of door panel.

This is a pre-production model - prod start is roughly 7 months away. Based on GM's most recent attention to detail, I expect this will be fixed.

Who are buying GM's cars? They are uninspired stamped out crap!! This car is awful!

I must say that from the exterior looks of this car, I think it looks nice, bold, flowing, kind of like the Infiniti M. However, I take a look at the interior pictures and nothing flows, everything is kind of a mish-mash of throwing things together and that plastic still looks like the ones they used in the 90s. They should not do a half ass job with the interior.
If GM really want this to be a segment buster, just concentrate on making the car look premium first, then you will win back some of the people who moved away to the likes of Toyota and Honda.

The same ugly and huge steering wheel, small rotors, skinny tires. Even if it looks better than the outgoing model, but it will still be just a rental car. This is still part of its DNA.

This looks awful, too much going on in the front and bulgy back end.
I'm disappointed big time.

Front end looks similar to Accord and tail lights look like those of Jetta/Passat. Also don't like the unusual looking trunk lid design. Not impressed by the design.

Huge Improvement? You guys must have been smoking some sticky, this looks so busy it looks like the design team just said, "oh hell why dont we just put every single line imaginable on it".

Love the bold exterior, but the interior needs a little more work! That being said, this new Impala will sell like hotcakes once it hits the market!

So many haters on this site. This car looks fantastic! Keep hating all you want. When this car hits the street, the numbers will speak for themselves...and we're not talking fleet numbers. You heard it here first.
Go ahead and start lowering my votes number right now...lol.

A beautiful job GM! I would love to see the new Impala in person before giving a final sign off. It's nice to have an option other than the usual choices. Sometimes you want to go a little under the radar and I believe this car offers that. Can't always be a "badge W"!

These pictures are horrible!!! I hope you did not pay for these. The only thing in focus is the photographer's camera strap.

Don't care much for the steering wheel, but the rest of it is awesome. HUGE improvement from the current model.

I have to desagree with you blazinboy, the all-new 6 series and 6 GC have the same trunk cutline. Regarding the new Impala, I think it looks really good and better than most Lexus inside and out IMHO. Good job GM!

Best looking Impala yet. Way to steal the steering wheel design from Mercedes GM.

I don't know if it will be segment busting but it sure is a vast improvement in terms of exterior and interior appeal. This should definitely equal better sales. There's something about riding in the same car that police officers use as their cruisers that cheapens the car a bit...

Shiteous interior. And the rear needs work. If they just had rebadged the Holden Commodore....
