Ray of Light: Bugatti Planning a Veyron Targa for 2008

Bugatti is planning to launch a targa version of its $1.9 million EB16.4 Veyron in 2008.
The new car will be assembled in limited numbers alongside the existing coupe version of the EB16.4 Veyron at Bugatti's showcase factory here.
The Veyron Targa is expected to receive a glass roof engineered by German specialist Webasto — the same company responsible for the Volkswagen Eos's folding aluminum and glass hardtop. The laminated panel is removable but cannot be stowed on board, according to insiders, because of the EB16.4 Veyron's tight packaging. As a result, Bugatti plans to equip the new car with an expandable piece of fabric that can be clipped into place to keep rain and sunshine at bay.
