Yes, as BMW has a New X1 soon to arrive in the summer, our 4 cyl X3 which will get around 30 mpg, the 3-series in AWD to name a few. The race with Lexus is pretty much over already.

BMW said last year they expected to be behind Mercedes for the first quarter, but that product launches throughout the rest of the year (specifically the X1, all-wheel drive new 3-Series sedan, and 4-cyl X3) would put them ahead by the end. By being ahead already, even slightly, BMW has actually exceeded their expectations and put them in a better position that they thought they'd be in at this point. Should be an interesting year.
